Aftersales & Customer Service Manager

Ryetec is looking for an ambitious and highly organised Aftersales & Customer Service Manager to lead and develop our growing aftersales operation.

This is a key position within the business, responsible not only for delivering excellent customer support but also for driving the growth of our spare parts, service, and aftersales division.

We are looking for someone with a strong engineering or machinery background who understands the importance of customer relationships, technical support, organisation, and commercial awareness.

The Role

You will be the central point of contact for aftersales support, spare parts enquiries, workshop repairs, and warranty management across both Ryetec manufactured machinery and imported product ranges.

The role combines technical understanding, customer service, sales development, and operational management.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for all aftersales, technical support, and spare parts enquiries
  • Answer customer and dealer phone calls and emails in a professional and timely manner
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for Ryetec machinery and imported product ranges
  • Manage spare parts enquiries, quotations, ordering, and sales opportunities
  • Develop and grow spare parts and aftersales revenue streams
  • Conduct proactive aftersales follow-up calls to customers to improve customer satisfaction and generate additional sales
  • Manage warranty claims from initial breakdown through to repair, replacement, and return of machinery
  • Liaise with overseas factories and suppliers regarding warranty issues, technical support, and replacement parts
  • Coordinate workshop repair enquiries, scheduling, quotations, and customer communication
  • Ensure repairs and warranty work are processed efficiently and completed to a high standard
  • Support and communicate effectively with Ryetec dealers and service partners
  • Maintain accurate service records, warranty documentation, and customer information
  • Help improve Ryetec's aftersales systems, procedures, and customer service processes
  • Assist in developing and improving machine manuals, spare parts information, and technical documentation
  • Monitor common technical issues and work proactively to reduce repeat problems
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer experience and strengthen long-term customer relationships
  • Work closely with sales, production, and management teams to improve overall aftersales support
  • Maintain strong product knowledge across all Ryetec machinery and associated product ranges
  • Contribute towards the strategic growth of Ryetec's aftersales and service department

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Engineering or machinery background
  • Strong understanding of agricultural, groundcare, or industrial machinery
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • IT literate and confident using business systems
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to improve systems and processes
  • Strong problem-solving ability
  • Commercial awareness and confidence in developing aftersales sales opportunities
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and customer enquiries effectively

Desirable

  • Experience in aftersales, service management, spare parts, or warranty administration
  • Experience working with dealer networks
  • Knowledge of workshop repair processes
  • Experience improving customer service systems or technical documentation




Welder / Fabricator

Location: Ryetec, North Yorkshire
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Full Time | Permanent

The Role

As a Welder/Fabricator, you will be responsible for manufacturing and assembling components and structures to support the production of Ryetec. You will work from engineering drawings to fabricate, weld, and finish components to a high standard, ensuring quality, accuracy, and efficiency throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and weld mild steel, stainless steel, and other materials to engineering specifications.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Carry out MIG welding to a high standard (TIG welding experience advantageous).
  • Operate fabrication equipment.
  • Inspect finished work to ensure compliance with quality standards and tolerances.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
  • Work collaboratively with production, engineering, and quality teams.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing process.
  • Follow all company health and safety procedures.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Proven experience as a Welder/Fabricator in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong MIG welding skills.
  • Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
  • Experience using fabrication machinery and hand tools.
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Desirable

  • TIG welding experience.
  • Experience working within machinery, agricultural, forestry, or heavy engineering sectors.
  • Forklift licence.
  • Relevant welding or fabrication qualifications.
