May 2026 marks six years since Ryetec introduced detachable belly weight options for the WeightBox and WorkBox range. What started as a simple idea has gone on to become one of the most popular options chosen by customers across the UK and beyond.

Back in 2020, the aim was straightforward. Give operators the option to carry extra ballast when they need it and remove it when they don’t, without affecting the practicality of the WeightBox.

Six years later, it’s a feature that continues to prove its worth on farms, estates and contracting businesses every day.

More Than Just a Tractor Weight Box

The Ryetec WeightBox and WorkBox were designed to offer more than a standard tractor weight.

By combining front ballast with a large, weatherproof storage compartment, operators can keep tools, chains, spare parts and other essentials close at hand while working. For many customers, the toolbox is used every day, making the WeightBox a practical addition to the tractor rather than simply a lump of front weight.
